some journalists speaking up against victimising journalists who boldly exposed atrocties on women and other youth by communal forces was a highly welcome step.Journalists who cry hoarse on so many issues seem to be silent on this attack on freedom of expression. Where have all the organisations of journalists gone ? We see only a handful of concerned journalists involved in this meeting with journalists. I am also wondering why this has not been presented to the whole country like it was done with home stay attack by all india press and media.
I happened to meet naveen soorinje in jail and also study the charge sheet submitted to court by police. police seem to consider naveen worse criminal than hindu jagarana vedike hoodlooms.They have foisted on him all the sections they found it fit to apply on those communal elements who molested, tore clothes of girls. plus they have foisted two extra sections.
It shows how much police have gone against law in their bid to kowtow their communal masters and how much communal forces have infiltrated and influenced police. – gn nagaraj.
ಮುಂಬೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫೇಸ್ಬುಕ್ ಕಮೆಂಟ್ ಹಾಕಿದ ಯುವತಿಯರ ಬಂಧನ ದೇಶವ್ಯಾಪಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಾದಂತೆ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ನವೀನರ ಬಂಧನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದೇಶವ್ಯಾಪಿ ವಿರೋಧಯೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಇದು ಫೇಸ್ಬುಕ್ ಕಮೆಂಟ್ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಗಂಭೀರ ವಿಷಯ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆಳೆಯುವ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರನ್ನು ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಬೆದರಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇಂಥ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸುವ ಫ್ಯಾಸಿಸ್ಟ್ ಸರ್ವಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಧೋರಣೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಟಿವಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಇದನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ಜನಜಾಗೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಮೂಡಿಸಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮಕನ್ನಡ ಟಿವಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೇ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಡಿತನದಿಂದ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂದಿರುವಾಗ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಟಿವಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಂದ ಏನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ? ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಟಿವಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿಸುವ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಟಿವಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಟಿವಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸದೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಹೊರಗಿನವರಾದರೂ ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ?
